Contribute your response to the statement:
• Add your response in person at a presentation or exhibition of the piece, or at a Sewing Action.
• To find events near you where you can contribute a response to the book please go to Schedule and Upcoming Events.
Participate in a Sewing Action:
• To find out if there are Sewing Actions happening near you that are open to the public, go to Schedule and Upcoming Events.
• Click here to contact us if you’re interested in hosting a sewing action.
Host a Sewing Action: We are looking for individuals, groups, communities and/or organization to host Sewing Actions in which participants can choose a response from the book and hand-sew it onto the blanket.
• Sewing Actions can take place in homes, schools, universities, community settings, public spaces, public events, outdoors etc.
• They should be a minimum of 1- 2 hours.
•You can choose to limit your sewing action to participants you invite or open it to the public.
• Up to approximately 20 people can sew on the blanket at one time.
• All materials are provided and no sewing experience or expertise are required.
